I will be sharing my approach for painting on vellum during this one-day vellum workshop at the
Get-Together 2023 at the Vienna School of Botanical Art (May 6-14, 2023). We will begin by doing some exercises on small bits of vellum (provided) to learn technique and to get a feel for painting on this surface. Then we will draw and paint a small fruit. This class is designed for students new to vellum (learn how to successfully paint on vellum) as well as for more experienced vellum painters (learn new tricks and techniques). The class combines demonstrations, discussion of materials and techniques, hands-on time for developing skills, and lots of individual attention and feedback.
Hotel accommodations are on your own. If you want the name of a close hotel, please email me.
