Painting on Vellum in Vienna, Austria

Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna

May 13, 2023

I will post registration information when it becomes available

I will be sharing my technique for painting on vellum during this one-day vellum workshop at the 2nd Get-Together of the Vienna School of Botanical Art (May 6-14, 2023). We will begin by doing some exercises on small bits of vellum (provided) to learn technique and to get a feel for painting on this surface. Then we will draw and paint a small fruit. This class is designed for students new to vellum (learn how to successfully paint on vellum) as well as for more experienced vellum painters (learn new tricks and techniques). The class combines demonstrations, discussion of materials and techniques, hands-on time for developing skills, and lots of individual attention and feedback.
