I work in watercolor on calfskin vellum, using tiny strokes (similar to hatching with a pen or pencil) to build up many, many layers of color. Even a very small painting can take over 50 hours to complete. The first video is actual speed, the second two are time-lapse and much faster than I could ever paint.
